Midwifery Care
Care that takes place in the home and extends throughout the prenatal period, labor & birth, and six weeks of postpartum and newborn care. With Woven Community Midwives, our care is comprehensive and collaborative, we value shared decision making with our clients. Pregnancy and birth is transformative both physically & emotionally, our highest goal is to help families feel deeply supported at every step.

Well-body Care
Midwifery care goes beyond pregnancy and childbirth. We offer general well body care at every stage of life that feels empowering and informative. Providing a personalized care plan that works with you to determine your wellness goals. Services may including full-body physical wellness exams, STI testing, PAP and pelvic exams, contraceptive counseling, routine lab work and more.

Fertility & Conception Support

Woven Midwives
Kennedy Logan and Sarah Mead are the primary midwives at Woven Community Midwives. We are both nationally Certified Professional Midwives (CPM) and Rhode Island Licensed Midwives. Kennedy and Sarah met at the beginning of their midwifery journey in 2019 and, in 2026, formally partnered after recognizing their shared philosophy of care. Their approach to midwifery is deeply rooted in respect for client autonomy and the inherent wisdom and decision-making capabilities of the families they serve. They believe that every person has the right to make informed choices about their body and their care. They take the time to listen, understand, and provide individualized support, ensuring that each client’s voice is heard and their preferences are honored. Kennedy and Sarah are committed to empowering clients and families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey by providing compassionate, relationship-centered care every step of the way.
Our midwives are trained professionals committed to honoring and protecting the natural process of birth while also possessing the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to respond to complications should they arise; our goal is always to provide the most appropriate care at every stage. We respect and support families in making informed decisions about their care and together we develop personalized care plans that feel autonomous, educational, and meaningful. We weave the family’s individualized beliefs and goals with our home-birth community standards and evidence-informed practices.
